Q2Learning staff, working at Caucus Systems Inc. (a predecessor company to Q2Learning), hosted IBM Public Sector's first virtual interactive sales conference. More than 2,500 IBM employees and business partners from over 90 countries around the world attended the conference to celebrate 1999 successes, communicate key messages and strategies for 2000, educate teams on e-business solutions and demonstrate the use of new IBM technologies. Using Caucus, IBM was able to significantly reduce travel costs and minimize time away from customers.

Caucus Systems also hosted an online event to provide a learning experience through knowledge exchange across IBM. The global conference enabled participants to gain insight and access to KM learning resources in IBM, networked KM people across the business, and gave people a chance to tell their story and gain recognition for their work. The Rules of the Garage team worked hand in hand with reinvention leaders to create the new culture through the behavioral changes needed to achieve their aspirations for the new HP. This team was supported through a virtual community of practice that combined common meeting areas for the whole team with private meeting areas.
